The work Kybele is realised during the pregnancy of the artist. Kybele with wide hips, belly, big breasts who is always sculptured naked is the goddess of goddesses in Anatolian Culture. Hips, belly, the genital organ has always been used as a symbol of fertility, femininity, motherness and the circle of life the ongoing life. Kybele reencarnates herself in the body of the artist who has also been sculptured as if giving birth.
